Hi, I’m Riley, & I’m so happy you’re here!

My belief is that food should make you happy and that we all deserve to have a peaceful relationship with food. What does that look like for you? I’d love to help you find out.

food should be joyful

Riley Burns, MS, RDN, LDN.

I am a Health at Every Size and social justice-aligned Registered Dietitian who specializes in the unique nutrition challenges that come along with neurodivergence. My goal as a dietitian is to be a positive force in the nutrition community and to advocate for compassionate and equitable healthcare for all.

In addition to nutrition counseling for neurodivergence, I have experience with providing nutrition care to those with insulin resistance, PCOS, and type II diabetes, chronic dieting, extreme picky eating, and I have a special interest in working with endurance athletes. The core of my work as a dietitian centers around practicing from a HAES-informed, weight-neutral perspective.

Welcome to my page! Whether you are interested in pursuing one-on-one nutrition counseling, or just wanting to learn more about your relationship with food, this is a safe space for all things. I am grateful you are here.

  • The Association for Size Diversity and Health (ASDAH) defines HAES by the following principles, recently updated in 2024.

    • Healthcare is a human right for people of all sizes, including those at the highest end of the size spectrum.

    • Wellbeing, care, and healing are resources that are both collective and deeply personal.

    • Care is fully provided only when free from anti-fat bias and offered with people of all sizes in mind.

    • Health is a sociopolitical construct that reflects the values of society.
